Alistair Nottle

Company: Airbus
Job title: Artificial Intelligence Research Project Leader

Alistair is a Research Project Leader within Airbus’s central AI research team, where he heads up innovation in next-generation robotics for aerospace manufacturing. His path to the aviation sector was entirely non-traditional; he originally studied Archaeology and Film Studies, later working in local government.

He joined Airbus to bridge the gap between technical teams and real-world operational policies, but his growing fascination with the technology led him to complete a company-supported Master’s degree in Computer Science.

Now with 18 years of industry experience, Alistair uses his creative background to solve complex technical challenges, like training advanced AI robotic arms for aircraft manufacturing.
