Kiyomi Grinall

Based at GKN Filton, Kiyomi uses X-ray technology to scan aircraft parts and ensure they are completely safe before they ever leave the ground.

Initially planning on a career in dentistry, Kiyomi changed direction after family members shared how rewarding and impactful the aerospace world could be. Today, her role blends daily team planning with hands-on inspection work - examining major parts like airplane wings to spot any hidden faults or defects. 

Backed by a supportive team and clear opportunities to gain higher-level qualifications, Kiyomi is building a long-term career that proves aerospace offers a flexible, welcoming path with real-world purpose.
